here is a rough menu idea i had.

For this title screen I was thinking either the helicopter could be doing an idle hover animation in the back, or it could be a cool cartoon of the SCUBA guy, or maybe a random close up of a survivor asset.

The pause menu for in game.  Link to the comic and main screen options.  The menu on the left would be dark, but slightly transparent (maybe 60% for the BG and 80% for the buttons?)

I found I like simple and direct menu screens

I especially like Super Mario Brothers since it has the screen UI  at the top and as it plays through the game its like a tutorial.
